Mamaw has been scooping snow again—3 times! She did the sidewalk, and the deck (I got to go outside and play on the deck while she cleaned it) and the evergreen hedges. She’s so tired of this stuff she doesn’t know what to do. And I’m frustrated too…I could spend all day out there and she says she’s got things to do.
Today is laundry day cause Deb and Hayleigh are supposed to come down tomorrow for Mamaw’s birthday—she says she’ll be 29 AGAIN! She is just working so hard I hope the blowing snow doesn’t manage to keep them away cause she will be disappointed.
Man, we walked through a lot of snow today! We used my new leash for the first time. This leash is 6 ft long so I can get up on the snow mountains easier. It is a rust color—I love it! Outside this morning my favorite little boy was coming by to go to school. I could stretch over the mountain enough with my new leash that we could see each other. I was covered with snow but he said, “Hi Scarlett,” and petted me. He is such a good looking little guy I wish he could stay and play or I could go to school with him.
I’ve been the watch dog again today. I gotta sit on the edge of the end table and the edge of the couch arm rest and make sure everybody gets to and from school okay. The old guy that blows the whistle helps them cross the street—isn’t that sweet? And I’ve been walking again..two times! It is very cold out though and I know she didn’t really want to go that far but she did it for me. I think she’s sweet too.
On Monday evenings, we have a routine they go through. 24 is on and they just love Jack Bauer—saver of the world. They make sure they’ve eaten and cleaned up the kitchen prior to 8:00 p.m. Then Mamaw takes me out to do my business about 5 minutes before the show starts. Then I get up on the couch between them and take turns moving from her lap to his. It is really quite pleasurable.
