I’m happy—Mamaw and Poppy are here ALL DAY! Mamaw got busy this morning taking me on a long walk on the trail cause it’s been rainin or she’s been gone so she knew I needed a good walk! It was wonderful too. The lilacs are out and they kinda smell like Mamaw’s perfume she squirts all over herself. When we got home she said, “Scarlett, the grass is too wet for you to come out in your play area so you stay with Poppy and rest while I pull some weeds.” Well, what could I say?

She’s just been quick as lightening this morning getting things done. For sure her hip feels better! She weeded until lunch time. Poppy’s kinda under the weather so she made them a lunch while she checks her e-mail. She’s got so many irons in the fire I just don’t know how she does everything! And then she went to the basement to start the sheets washing. She knows I don’t like to go outside through that great big sliding door, so she put my leash on and took me to my play area and “hooked me up.” I kinda didn’t want that to happen but it worked out okay. She did more weeding right where I was and when she went in the house to get water, she brought my squeeze bottle out. I love to drink out of that thing!

I’ve never seen so many weeds in my life. I was just trying to help her when she yelled, “No Scarlett, those are my flowers!” Oh my God—I didn’t know…I gotta be careful cause she just keeps pulling weeds and putting them in a bag to throw out! I’m exhausted just watching her. Have I told you she is old? I MEAN OLD! And when she’s in the mood and her hip doesn’t hurt so bad, she is a workaholic I tell you. Wow!

And so the sheets are washed and back on the bed. We’ve walked three more times. And I had a scary moment this evening. You know I can smell Ozzie. I was stretched out over the couch and the end table and I knew it was him. I guess I scooted a little too far and fell off! It happened so fast I don’t know if I fell on my head or if I landed on my feet. Anyway, I didn’t get to see him tonight. Mamaw was scared maybe I hurt myself—I did crack my head…
