May 23, 2010 (Emily Clark Graduation)

It is a very important day today! Mamaw and Poppy’s grand daughter, Emily is graduating today! She’s the horse girl—loves the horse Sasha. I haven’t had the courage to go see the horse yet cause Mamaw says she is HUGE.

They are going to see families that have two sets of Moms and two sets of Dads and ex-spouses are going to be in the same area and…well anything could happen. I know Mamaw and Poppy well enough that THEY will behave!

So the house is busy—little time for the newspaper today but I did get to do my tricks and get my treats. But the running around to get ready made me dizzy today. Mamaw did make sure I got two walks in though before I was goin to be Home Alone. Thoughtfulness, that’s what I call it.

I’m in the kennel—they did put “little sockie” in with me to keep me company. And so, off like a turtle they go. I’ve been told it will be a long day…

They are home and Mamaw looks BEAT! She said it was so hot in the gym but she wouldn’t have missed it for the world. She’s gotta relax a moment and change clothes and then I get to go outside. Had to pee pretty darned bad! She made up for it later though, Ozzie was out so Mamaw took me (well, I have to give her my “Ozzie” sound” for her to catch on, but she did. We played for quite a while and had a wonderful time. I’ve had my “kicks” for the day so I’m happy.

I’m invited to the waterbed cause Mamaw wanted to lie down early. I couldn’t settle—I was sent out with Poppy. Later he came in the bedroom looking for his glasses (you know old people can’t remember where they put anything) and I snuck back in. Mamaw said I could stay if I would behave. I did—she took me to my kennel later and I was ready for bed.
