Oh dear—I am still slobbering and Mamaw is upset! But the good news is I am eating, sleeping, playing and walking. She’s gonna do an internet search to see if cocker spaniels do that. She’s still worried I got into something I shouldn’t have on our Monday adventure. I’m scared too—scared she won’t let me go next time!!
But we walked—and saw Lela and Mamaw wouldn’t let me get close to her. Now you KNOW who much I care about her but NO, NO, NO. And then she embarrassed me by sharing about what I might have done. I just wanted to die right on the spot. I didn’t hang my head cause I wanted to act like it was no big deal but my heart dropped to my right paw. (grown)
And so the alternative to my being outside was out the basement sliding doors in my own play area where I wouldn’t be around other dogs. It was okay—but I’m confused about a couple of things. She brought my house water container outside for me to drink out of. Well, that’s for the house—I wanted my squeeze water bottle so she got that for me. The other thing is I don’t really want to play out there. I just sort of sit and watch what is going on or I lie down and watch her carry water, water, water – to here, to there, to the plants, wherever. It was nice though and Poppy came home and scared the hell out of Mamaw!
She had to do her job searches yesterday and she is so smart. She is helping a friend who just had a book published plan her book signing and a relative started an online website to sell gifts and collectibles so she made a presentation for that. I’ll tell you—I didn’t know she had so much talent! She doesn’t need a full time job—between me (happy) and all that stuff, she is busy.
Sue left her business envelope and her cell phone here so at 3:30 p.m. Mamaw asked if I wanted to go in the car. Of course SLOBBERS AND ALL! So we did that and it was fun but it looked and felt like rain was coming—just a little bit was all we had.
And then she’s in the kitchen and I’m smelling the most wonderful stuff. I wanted in the kitchen—she wanted me out so I made her keep giving me “treats” to stay on my rug. Well, she made spaghetti and garlic bread and all was well.
I went to bed early—voluntarily—because my slobbers bother me too. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. Bonne nuit! (that's French for goodnight)
