February 14, 2010 (Valentine's Day)

Happy Valentine’s Day, Miss Scarlett and outside we went. New snow—no yellow spots in our yard but there were little paw marks so I wanted to just take off and follow them. Mamaw said, “Let’s go for it.” Off we went and it was great! Right out of the shoot today I got to walk. We saw more than one dog’s paw prints but no doggies this early in the morning.

Poppy is getting ready for work. She let me in the bedroom which has kind of become a “custom.” Except when she wanted me to leave, I ignored her…I was whisked up and placed in my kennel to cool off.

We been kinda just sittin around reading the paper and watching TV. Mamaw spends lots of time in the office and when I miss her company, I WHINE to get her attention. Sometimes I need outside (business or pleasure) and sometimes I want to play. We’ve played a lot today.

And now Poppy is home and sleeping. He gets pooped out after two full days of work and this week he worked 3 days so we need to let him rest. Mamaw snuck out and scooped the snow and let me out to play some but it’s getting very cold out there. The wind has come up so we’ve only done 2 ½ walks today. (smile)
