Up early—around early! Johnny Palmer came by today—I got to meet him. He’s a very nice fella and is really good at construction work. Poppy and Mamaw asked him to come by and look at their squeaky floors. He was here a couple of hours—had a nice visit—worked on a fix and will wait a few days to see if it works. Mamaw is such a fuss bucket—think I told you that. Well, she asked him about putting new washers in the faucets of both bathrooms and the kitchen. I think Johnny was thinking “fuss bucket” too! He told her nothing to worry about…then she showed him the sliding glass door. Remember the one that broke and she fell and hurt herself? Well, he took all the parts off and said we could get new ones at Lowes. He’s gonna leave us now…bye Johnny.

Okay, we’ll walk. Kind of cold with the wind and all but we had a terrific walk~as usual. But later we REALLY went for a walk! I kid you not—we walked the entire bike/walk trail…I’m trying to nab any paper, cigarette butts or other interesting things along the way and Mamaw just gives my leash a little “tug” and says leave it. I guess she must have learned that from that darned book she read, “Mother Knows Best.” It was lovely though and as we traveled further and further I began to feel tired. Well, we finally made it home and when she wiped my feet, she told Poppy they were “hot”—duh~! I don’t know HOW FAR we walked but I know it was a longgg way. You can bet I’m gonna take a really long nap now.

She needs to go to PetSmart to get my Eukanuba puppy food. The lady told her when I get to be 9 or 10 months old, I should switch and mix puppy food with adult food for a bag and then switch me over to all adult food. The lady said since I’ve been spayed we don’t want to let me get fat! Oh boy, Poppy wouldn’t like that at all…he’s really excited that Mamaw is losing her extra fat…
