Poppy and Mamaw are really getting “stuff” done today! I’m trying to wait patiently but I’m havin a hard time. I sit at her feet in the office as she works and just make a little noise to see if she will look at me. If not, I wait a little bit and make the noise again. Sometimes I have to do it pretty often before she gives in. She had forgotten to “work me” this morning and give me my treats.

We walked up around the little open mall area again. The Italian man we met a few days ago was there picking up the trash. He remembered me and had a surprise for me too! He had stuck a couple of dog biscuits in his pocket for me! He gave me the first one and then he bent down on his haunches and invited me to go into his pocket for the other. I’d be crazy if I didn’t wouldn’t I? He’s a very nice man and I’m sure we will see him again. The new restaurant/bakery isn’t open yet. Then we walked down around our complex area and there was a huge white machine that had roller things and it was moving very, very slow. Kind of like the carpet machine yesterday. I thought I might be afraid of it, but Mamaw just kept right on going and didn’t look back.  She’s good at that!

After we had lunch, we walked down around the elementary school again. I love that place—especially when the kids are coming and going. Mamaw always makes me SIT before I can make friends. And today I made friends with three little girls—they were so cute. The ground is beginning to dry out a little and I notice when we walk that the sidewalks aren’t muddy like the street circle is. At our complex, there is no sidewalks so I’m gonna try to steer her toward the walk/bike trail or around the school so I don’t have to wipe my feet EVERY TIME I GO FOR A WALK!
