It is Mother’s Day and I think it’s sad that Poppy has to work. So he got me around to go outside and then we went to the bedroom to wake our Mamaw and he presented our card to her. Oh she thought that was so perfect we’ll just scan and post it for ya. And then off to work so Mamaw got a call from Son, Dan and they had a really nice visit. She did her “thing” with Daughter, Dodi yesterday and so today she is waiting for Daughter, Deb and Miss Hayleigh to come and take her out for dinner.
Since it’s goin to be a while before they come, Mamaw got the sweeper out and did the floors. She is also rushing around to get the laundry done. So by 2:00 when they came, she was nearly done with the work. And guess who came with them? Tess, their 5-year old Cocker Spaniel. Boy was I surprised and Mamaw kept it a big secret from me. We got to socialize and play a little but Tess objects to me not wanting her to smell my butt. I smell hers but I hate it when she tries to smell mine. Mamaw got a little nasty with me and told me she doesn’t blame Tess if she warns me away from her. Now where does the loyalty come in here? I gotta think that one over…
And so, in our kennels while they “whisk” Mamaw off with them. They turned the kennels though so we could see each other and talk to each other. Tess is bad about whining but I tried to be quiet like Mamaw has taught me. A couple hours they are back and we play some more. Mamaw got some pictures cause she wants to share them in my album, My Furry Friends. We watched a movie and Poppy came home and said his hellos and went to the bedroom to watch the rest of the golf game. Somethin happened to Tiger Woods I guess, and he had to withdraw. Hope that’s not a big thing…
Late into our evening I went to lay down on the bed with Mamaw. I’m sure getting used to that. We both ended up falling asleep but when I woke up this morning I was in my kennel so she didn’t give in and let me stay with her all night. SHUCKS!
