No walks today—Mamaw’s hip is just killing her. So instead, she took me to the Dog Park where I got to meet and play with all different sizes, shapes and personalities—I had a ball! She let me “off leash” and I could just run and run and run—which I did. I met so many wonderful friends there I hope we get to go again. They didn’t have the water turned on yet—it’s a good thing Mamaw brought my bottle of water. And the humans were just in awe over the fact that I would just open my mouth and she would squirt water for me to drink. They think I’m just quite the dog!
I wasn’t ready to leave when she thought we should so we stayed a while longer—we were there for 2 hours and it seems like such a short time to me. There were young people and older people and one day was blind in one eye and her dog was blind. His name is Oliver Twist. She said she made up the story about how she got him so she could name him that. Humans…kind of a strange breed.
Finally home and Lord help us, I was very thirsty. I drank and drank—needed outside to pee and back to take a long, well-deserved nap. Mamaw took all kinds of pictures so look for them in an album on the website cause I want to share them with you.
That golfer Tiger Woods just isn’t cutting it today. I keep hearing Mamaw and Poppy say, “Oh no.” He just had a terrible day today but that Phil Michelson won the Masters and Mamaw said she was happy for him. His wife, Amy and his mother are both battling breast cancer so she thought that was a great triumph for him. She’s got a heart big as a house…
And speaking of heart, Becky next door told her that Ozzie has a cancer on his side to be removed tomorrow. When she told me, I was very sad cause Ozzie is my buddy! We’ll need to check on him later tomorrow and see what they say. I may even consent to share some of my Brown Dog Bakery goodies with him…
