It’s all about rushing around again! Poppy is rushing to make a grocery list so they can get around to go see Betty at Mercy Hospital. I’m feeling a little left out but Mamaw says they just adore me and we’ll catch up with all of the lovin just as soon as things slow down a little.

Mamaw is really, really busy too. She spent lots of time in the office this morning doing all those letters and emails to churches and newspapers about her friend, Linda Carlson’s book signing. Mamaw does a great job on stuff like that and part of the reason why is cause she thinks of everything! Okay—let’s get the letters in the mail before the mailman comes.

“Okay, come on Scarlett, let’s go for a walk,” she says. Okay—finally. And trust me, I am not going to rush, rush, rush like she makes me do all of the time. I want to spend time with her so I’m gonna sniff EVERYTHING. It was such a lovely walk too—we didn’t see any other dogs but we did get to see the workers. I really like that one and I’m always asking for his attention.

Poppy has the groceries home. Let’s put them away…alright Scarlett, to the kennel. It’s time for us to visit the sick. Well, what am I supposed to say to that? If I run from her she really gets so frustrated with me and I don’t like it when she is mad at me. She stands with her hands on her hips and believe me—she has an ugly look too! So I never quite know how I am going to react to her—I guess it depends on whether I’m lookin for trouble.

I’m glad they are back home. I’m feelin a little left out—and lonely. Aw—but Poppy will be here with me while Mamaw goes out on errands. I’ll be so glad when this book signing is over and Mamaw has more time for me…She really wasn’t gone that long. And here she came with flowers for her tricycle. Do you know she told Poppy the other day when she was putting it together that she never got a tricycle when she was little. I think that’s so sad—and I think Poppy thinks that too cause he isn’t getting after her or anything. Well, outside we go to put it in just the right place. Oh, and don’t forget the Cocker Spaniel night light she found too!!! She’s just havin a ball since they’ve moved into this town house.

At 9:00 p.m. Mamaw went to bed to watch The Good Wife—and I went with her. I played around a little and finally just stretched out on that wonderful waterbed to rest. Well, I guess I rested alright—she couldn’t get me awake at 10:00. She gently picked me up and held me close, kissing me as she took me to my kennel for the night. Oh Lord, I love that love—I mean you can feel the love. Everything is going to be okay—things will calm down and we’ll be back to our own schedules again. Love you Mamaw—love you Poppy—see you in the morning!
