Oh, oh—Mamaw has a migraine headache! Bet it’s because she’s got a dental appointment today to get her teeth cleaned. She asked Poppy to call Kirby Family Dentistry and cancel her appointment. Well, she stayed in bed, and stayed in bed until I just couldn’t stand it any longer. Poppy had me outside to do “my thing” and I’m waiting for her to come see me but no way. I got away from Poppy and ran right back into the bedroom and pounced on the bed! I’m telling you—she loves that (well, I think). I used my very best personality to persuade her to get up. Can you guess who won?
So, Poppy left for work and we’re alone. Headache and all, Mamaw had to do her job search for unemployment and she printed some business cards for Poppy. She loves it when he asks her to do something for him…
We got our 3 walks in—I tell you; I don’t know how she does it when she doesn’t feel up to par! I think she “wills” herself to get things done just like that Tiger Woods fella “wills” the ball into the cup. With the snow nearly gone, my nose just goes crazy when we are outside—I simply cannot get enough of the smells and Mamaw wants the walk to be continuous so we’re having a little problem right now.
I think she intends to call Deb Boswell at Bark Busters to see if she can come help us out. I’m barking too much and Mamaw doesn’t know when enough is enough. After all, it is my natural instinct to be “the watchdog.” I’m probably not going to be very happy about it either…
Poppy is home! Mamaw was sitting in “his” spot on the couch so he sat in “her” chair. I’ve taken over the other side of the couch for myself. I wanted to smooch him but I couldn’t find him—I raced to the bedroom door and back to the office—no Poppy. I came tearing into the living room whining and then I SPOTTED HIM—sitting in “her” chair. Oh Lord—was I ever happy! It just isn’t the same if I don’t get my family love fests both morning and night.
My tummy hasn’t felt good today. I haven’t even eaten ½ cup of my food and Mamaw says my nose is warm. Mamaw has dinner ready when Poppy gets home cause it’s Monday night and 24 is on at 8:00 p.m. We’ve just decided maybe it would be a good idea for me just to go to bed and rest until morning—night Mamaw—night Poppy.
