Oh, oh—Mamaw overdid the walking yesterday and she is in pain. I wondered why when we went out to go potty this morning, we didn’t walk. I’ll be good Mamaw—I’ll be good!

Poppy definitely has something up his sleeve. He has started washing white clothes—he rarely does that. Oh, Mamaw asked him about it—he needs something clean for his golf outing. Mamaw feels bad cause her two falls along with her arthritis has pretty much made it impossible for her to golf. She misses it—they used to do a lot of that together. Maybe my new contraption she makes me wear when we walk will help heal that left router cuff and she’ll be able to try before winter catches us again.

She’s written the blog and is working with the checkbook—tryin to get caught up on things. She’s been goin lots more than she did a couple months ago. I guess she thinks she needs to live before she dies…

Mamaw came at me with the “contraption” and asked if I wanted to walk. She motioned for me to jump up on the couch—I did! I let her put the thing on me; maybe I’m getting used to it. Poppy and Mamaw both like the way I act when I have it on—I’m more calm I guess. Maybe I won’t mind it either? Off we go for a walk—the neighborhood is pretty darned quiet. Lots of people are gone for the day. We got home and she grabbed a kitchen towel and my squirt bottle and called me to the living room where she gave me a big, cold drink. I really like that.

Vicki and Picco are coming over and we are all driving to the Des Moines Raccoon Dog Park for a while. I love that place…We thought Picco would like it lots better than he did and so I felt bad about that. I ran around like crazy trying to convince him he should join in but he wasn’t in the mood. Well, it was new to him—not to me. And the dogs just kept coming and coming—there must have been 10-15 in all sizes, shapes and descriptions (and don’t forget the breeds). I saw a couple of fellas I’ve seen there before but it’s great to greet and smell new friends. We took some photos so look under the photo album My Furry Friends…

I think Picco and I are related somehow. Alan and Vicki are Poppy’s nephew and niece and they have Picco so I’m thinking we might be first cousins—isn’t that Cool? Because Picco is deaf, Mamaw and Vicki think maybe he felt out of his element so we’re probably going to try this another time. Now that he has seen the place everything won’t be new next time. Did I mention that he is a Pomeranian? He is very beautiful—and I think he knows it too. (wink) I’m kinda the same way too…(wink, wink) We left after being there for about an hour—I was tired and at the end of our time there, I just laid down to rest. I was pretty much dripping slobber from one fence to the next!

Poppy had invited Alan and Vicki to come back to the house after the golf outing to play some pool. They came—they were tired—they went home—end of story.
