What a great day this turned out to be! We've driven by the sculpture park a number of times but just didn't ever take the time to stop.For my birthday, Poppy gave me a coupon for "One trip to the Pappajohn Sculpture Park" so when the time was right, I handed it to him and asked, "Can we"?
We took off in the Lexus (air conditioning on cause it was hot that day) and downtown we went!
Nomade (lower left) is Mamaw's favorite sculpture. It is huge! And has individual alphabet letters all over it. I asked her about that and she said, "A Hispanic artist didn't know how to speak or write English so that is how it turned out. The letters are at random everywhere on that thing!" I think she was joking with me though... And besides that, she won't post some of them cause she thinks they "look naughty."
It was a super, super day and too hot to sit out and eat. After we looked at all that stuff I just asked if we could go home and get something to eat.
