Golly, Poppy was up and gone before I got up this morning. Oh, that’s right—he had to take his Lexus to get the driver’s side mirror replaced. Well, I went searching for him and Mamaw reminded me where he was. So, we start our day. Mamaw did so much laundry yesterday that she had to put it away this morning. I counted 12 shirts for Poppy—Wow!

But when he got home, he was inviting Mamaw and me to go on a ride. We went to get a new garage door opener for Mamaw cause the stupid thing hasn’t been working—even with a new battery! Then we took the map so we could find the dog park. It was a lovely ride and along the way we found the park. I was
surprised cause Mamaw said, “Scarlett and I are going to check it out so we know the routine next time I bring her here.” It was very nice. Before I knew it, I was off the leash. Pepper and Steve came into the fenced area and I didn’t jump around and act all goofy with her. Mamaw was impressed and thinks I need more time in the park to socialize. Poppy sat in the car and “observed”—he said he thought I had a blast and socialized very nicely. Mamaw only let me stay about 15 minutes cause she didn’t want me to be over stimulated (whatever that means). There were 6-8 dogs there at the time.

We came home and I was exhausted. I literally fell on the floor and slept for hours. Mamaw says I snore like Poppy sometimes. Later in the day I wanted to walk again only this time I didn’t want to walk. I guess being off the leash gave me some freedom I thought I should have on this walk. Poor Mamaw—she told Poppy that her shoulder hurt from my not wanting to just continue walking.

It’s 24 night! I’m really tired so I’m not gonna watch it. Poppy and Mamaw were glued to the screen though. After it was over we went back outside to potty one last time and I was ready to just go back to bed.
