Hey Gang—it pays to be a lovely, well-behaved dog! I got a car ride first thing this morning. Mamaw had to run to the Post Office and I was happy…A man approached us and wanted to know all about me and they had a wonderful visit. She invited him to pet me and talk to me and oh boy—he’s definitely into me!

Okay—now let’s get back to reality and start our day.

Dodi and Ashton came today—she had to take Max, her “wiener dog” to PetSmart in Ankeny to get his bath and get all gussied up for a couple of months. Gosh, when he gets here, he’ll put me to shame—I don’t get to go until next week! Dodi’s daughter, Emily, is graduating next month and we’re going through the computer looking for different and older photos of her to put into a slide show for her reception party. They spent lots of time talking and laughing about these pictures while Ashton just laid on the floor. She looked so darned cute, I just laid down with her—nose to nose. We stayed like that a long time—we were very content. Okay—they’ve written down which photos to e-mail so I guess that means Mamaw will be very busy tomorrow doing that!

No walks at all today. Mamaw’s hip and back are just too much! We tried but only got away from the house and down to the corner by the school before she realized it just wasn’t good. I don’t really get the “heel” portion yet and she has to pull on the leash to hold me back so I’m no help to her. Please God—let me learn soon cause I want to continue my walks with her. She is always so proud of me…

Poppy’s Tiger Woods isn’t doing too good at the Master’s Tournament and he’s kind of bummed out too. Gosh—hope tomorrow holds more promise for all of us. The sun is shining, it is lovely outside but somehow we aren’t able to enjoy it as we should. Bummer…
