Mamaw’s been really busy this morning so Poppy has been my buddy. I did get to lay on the waterbed while she dusted the bedroom furniture. Poppy’s gonna get cleaned up so I know he’s goin somewhere. Mamaw says she just want to “veg out” today. She thinks the salad dressing she ate yesterday didn’t agree with her tummy.
Oh, Cully’s home—come on Mamaw; we need to get my gift over to Ozzie when he comes outside to pee! Oh yeah, grab the leash and the gift and head to the back of the house. Oh wonderful—Ozzie is getting better. He almost acts like he’d like to play… Well Ozzie—enjoy your treat and we’ll get together another time.
The lawnmowers and weed eaters have been driving me crazy today. And I just get tired out cause I have to bark and let Mamaw know they are here. She wants to hush me but it’s my job to let the family know when somethings goin on.
Got a ride in the car and a lovely walk. The weather is just perfect. We saw the painters, carpenters and kids! Quite a day…

- Since 1982 I have wanted to write a book. But it was never possible for me to dedicate myself to writing so I pushed it aside. Permanent retirement caught up with me in March 2010. I began writing that novel and it is finished; now in its 4th editing. And during that time, I've become selfish about having it published. You see, it is a true story--MATCH.COM--and much too intimate to share with the masses. It is being held back for family and friends to enjoy at the proper time. And as previously mentioned, Miss Scarlett came into our lives at just the right time to completely enjoy her. She had a voice in this house from the very beginning and wanted to share feelings from her point of view from the beginning--I gave her that audience. Then she decided to take a break for nearly a year--she is back folks!
