Today is my “summer haircut day” so Mamaw sort of started the day trying to get me brushed and cleaned up so it wouldn’t be so hard on me when I go see Leann. It kind of hurts a little though, cause my hair is so long. Mamaw just loves it that way but they think if I’m going to spend time at the dog park we should cut it off for the summer.

And so, we’re goin for walks today. She needs to wear me out so I won’t be too hipper for my bath and haircut. And then we went outside to my “play area” for a while. I still won’t go downstairs and out the sliding glass door. She has to take me out the front door and down to our area. She has a lawn chair there and brings water for both of us. I’m getting so good at drinkin from a squeeze water bottle. Sometimes though, she squirts too much water at a time and I kinda choke. She took the flowers outside and watered them and oh boy—she’s havin a great time!

The guy that is going to replace some of our siding stopped by to see us while he was outside. They talked for quite a while and Mamaw told Poppy she feels better about what they are going to do. And then they are painting our building. We’ll all have a stressful time over all of this!

Time to get in the car and go. I’m really proud of myself cause I don’t shake and get all nervous. We walk into PetSmart and I go straight back to the grooming section. Oh, and there’s Leann…Hi Leann!!! Okay, I gotta go with her for a while so Mamaw said goodbye to me and left. The whole thing took 2 ½ hours by the time I dried and it isn’t near as much fun as it is with Mamaw. I’d better thank my lucky stars that she came along…

I’m home—exhausted. I’m not doing anything for the rest of the day but go outside to relieve myself. Well, and get some lovin from Mamaw and Poppy too.
