Santa Maria Vineyard & Winery, Willey, IA & Carroll, IA

Aw yes...the vines.  We had to see these first and as you can see, it is early in the season so they are "just beginning to grow."  The vines are in Wiley, IA and had the honor of going along for part of this.

I also had the honor of sitting on the Baby Grand Piano seat if I would behave.  Well, who wouldn't for THAT?  This photo sits against the west wall and very famous pianists come to play at the restaurant from time to time.
(Left)  This photo was taken out on the top deck of the gift shoppe in Wiley, IA where the grapes are.  Mamaw and her sister, Mary along with a red-headed good-looking cocker spaniel had a wonderful day!

(Right)  Here are their last "high honors" in winemaking.  They had a number of wines do very well.  And Mamaw should know, she tasted FOUR of them!

(She brought home a bottle of wine and a Santa Maria wine glass too!

(Left) This ornate table and artist portrait sit inside the foyer.  Mamaw said,
"Now Scarlett--don't you bump into that."
I was careful...

(Right) This is the foyer with an artist commissioned 3-D tree painted on it.  It is a beautiful piece of work.

And so, here are tables and chairs (for old folks) and those funky high stool that young folks have to climb up on to be seated.  There is just a little bit of everything for everyone here...and Mamaw and I just know you would enjoy visiting here.
