Yesterday was a very busy, busy day. We got two invitations this evening and it’s gonna be hard to make them both—but Poppy is smart and he says we can manage that. So we spent the day getting our exercise and getting done what we needed to get done. Mamaw had a terrible time finding clothes to fit her cause she’s lost quite a bit of weight. We’re so proud of her.

Snodgrass Family Eyecare, Jane Snodgrass, O.D. had her open house. She has a lovely facility and we were pleased to be a part of it.
And then on to Ankeny. We had an evening of encouragement with Governor Terry Brandstad At the Lodge. In spite of having a stint installed in his heart, the doctors gave him the go ahead to continue campaigning. Poppy and Mamaw made a believer out of me when they told me why we should elect him again.

1. Iowa needs 200,000 new jobs – WHERE ARE THE I-JOBS?

2. We need to increase family incomes by 25 percent – I sure like that idea (more $ in the pocket)

3. We must reduce the cost of government by 15 percent – We’ve had “run-a-way spending)

4. Our kids have a right to the best education available – Where did that go?

It’s time we elect somebody with common sense and the guts to help work us out of the mess we are in. Can we count on you?
