No slobbering today! We are all happy campers here. Mamaw is washing the rest of the towels and bedding that got messed up during this dreary adventure of ours. We still don’t know what it was but it sure feels good to feel better. I wasn’t at all crazy about sucking up to the water and food today so I have just left it alone.

Poppy left for work and called an hour later asking her to call Miss Jessica and tell her I’m better. He also wanted me to make sure she knew we traveled 300 miles the other day. Well, we’re gonna get so “car sick” pills for me for one thing. And the other is that Miss Jessica said she’d look for a low-residue sample of food for me—I might like that better right now. She worked in the office for a while and then off to the vet she went without me! I wasn’t very happy about that but I guess she had another errand to run also.

When she came back she had a BIG BAG of food for me. At first when she put it out I wasn’t impressed with it but as the day went along I was eating. I’m still trying to avoid the water though cause it’s got that chalky stuff in it and I’m trying not to drink it. I know that Mamaw is trying to force me to drink it…so—let’s just wait and see who gives in!

We’re outside plantin flowers for the front of the house that faces 50th Street. Mamaw always wants it to look nice. She got a wonderful plant from her niece when her sister, Rita passed away in December and she’s been babying it until it could get transplanted. Well, today’s the day…And she has two other cute pots that she threw some flowers in too. I hope they all make it but you know as well as I do, that she’ll fuss, fuss, fuss and they’ll look wonderful.

All of the laundry is now folded and put away. I’m so proud of her—she doesn’t let any grass grow under her feet if you get my drift! I saw her get her “Memory Box” out and sort through the cards in there and organize them by occasion. She’s really got the organization bug right now. And she told Poppy she has to get busy on organizing his golf and medical magazines too so the house isn’t run over by magazines. I love them ya know? The moment I see one laying around or somebody looking at one, I zone right in for the kill. I think that’s what she wants to avoid cause she said she could store the organizers in one of the closets. Hmmmm…is she really gonna take that away from me?
