Poppy works today. Mamaw is doing something but I’m not sure what. Poppy lets me outside and when I come back in I hear the shower. She’s tricky that way…Otherwise things seem normal—she’s not a walking target and she doesn’t wash her hair. Maybe I can relax?

Well forget that—breakfast, play time, treat time and Poppy bye-byes and a nice walk. We saw Pepper and Mamaw told Steve she’s gonna take me to a dog park with Bark Busters, Deb Boswell and her dogs and work on calming me down some when it comes to socializing. Steve said they are going next week—to give him a call and we can both drive there and let the dogs run. Sounds good to me!

Back home and THEN SHE DECIDES TO WASH HER HAIR. She changed clothes too! Oh boy—this isn’t good. I thought we’d spend the morning just playing with each other but after she got all “duded up” I knew something was up. Well, she told me I’d have to go in the kennel cause she’s having lunch with a new friend who is going to help her with her resume. Okay—she’s gonna be gone an hour. My God—she’s gone 3 hours! Well, she did bring home some groceries so I forgave her. But right away after she put them away, we went on a really super nice walk and I saw Lalah again. I did a bit better at the socializing and Mamaw thinks it’s because she is more MY SIZE. We spent quite some time together just playing and the lady was really nice too. Mamaw needs to get her name and give her a business card so she can go online and read my blog.

I want the newspaper Mamaw is finally trying to read. Boy, she warned me right off the bat that I had better leave it alone or in the kennel I would go! Well, I didn’t cross her today. Last night I got a little mouthy and she sent me to bed early. Okay, so things aren’t going so bad today—I think I’ll behave…

Poppy came home and whisked Mamaw right out of the house! He said they had to go to some “friendly howdies” at the American Optometric Association (AOA). They go down and meet some of the doctors and look at the exhibits. It’s kinda nice for them to keep up with people but Poppy says the older ones are dying off and the new people are by far out-numbering the +50 crowd. They grabbed a bite to eat while there and they didn’t tell me, but I know Poppy had a beer and Mamaw had a glass of wine.

They came back in time to watch UNI verus Michigan State in the basketball game. We are all just sittin there watching and the score began to change so they were really glued to the TV. I sat between them and didn’t do anything I shouldn’t cause I knew I’d have to go to the kennel if I did. Well, they lost—we’re sad. Goodnight UNI—you did a good job anyway!
