Oh boy, the weekend is coming fast and Mamaw has lots to do before she leaves. She has already dusted the bed headboard and made the bed so I could do “my thing” on it this morning. I just roll back and forth and back and forth—it feels SO GOOD. I guess that means she will be dusting the furniture in the house so it will look good while she is gone.

Mamaw weighed me this morning—I am 21 lbs. She said that must be cause I’m in a family the nourishes me. (smile)  And when Mamaw put the red leash on me this morning, I knew I was supposed to go downstairs in the basement cause Poppy was down there playing pool. I went down with her just holding the leash firm enough that I knew she wouldn’t let me fall. She left me down there with him for a while and then I got antsy so she came back down for me. I went to the steps and came right up the steps too. I know she watches out for me now so I don’t have to be so nervous. I felt like Mamaw deserved an A+ for her training ability and I got an A+ cause I paid attention to her and trusted her enough to follow her lead.

We went for a walk and I just couldn’t resist the cigarette butt. I nabbed it before Mamaw even knew it! Wasn’t a good idea though…later I got sick, sick, sick. I was in the office with Mamaw and suddenly I am running toward the front door. I know I’m gonna be sick and I can’t get there fast enough! She rushed into the kitchen and grabbed my “paw towel” and put it under my mouth. Awwww—perfect, I managed to get all of the “sick stuff” on the towel. After the excitement was all over, I just laid around for a long time. But this made even more work for Mamaw. She picked up the towel and hauled it to the kitchen where she washed all that stuff she could off the towel and then set about soak it.

She’s been cleaning ALL DAY! Everything has to be just PERFECT. Poppy just tries to stay out of her way—me too! She’s got all the dusting done so maybe now she will just try to relax a minute. It will be time to fix dinner soon—she’ll be so tired she will just probably go to bed.
