I slept so much better without the contraption on last night! But right out of the kennel, Mamaw made me put it on even before we went outside. She really likes that I don’t pull with that thing on and told Poppy last night was the first night she didn’t have trouble with her left shoulder.
Right out of the kennel she made me put on that darned contraption. It is humiliating to wear it…but she insists. And the walk we had was very pleasant. We both enjoyed it! By the time we walked though, it was already pretty humid so we talked about starting out earlier in the morning.
Because of the heat and Mamaw doing the end of the laundry, she took the car and went to get groceries. She’s been “stockin up” again cause there was lots. Then she let me out of the kennel and asked me if I wanted a ride in the car…alright! She found a place where it is legal for her to dump the weedings from the gardening she does so off we went for quite a long ride. She opened that big opening in the top of the car and we had a blast! The radio was blaring, my nose was going crazy and fun was had by all. The only not good thing about the rides?—they have to end.
I got a proper brushing today. The good thing about that is she took the apparatus off me to do it and she didn’t put it back on! Alright!!! And I brushed my teeth—haven’t done that in a bit so I’m feelin pretty darned frisky this evening.
When we went back out to go potty, I was pulling on the regular leash again—Mamaw said, “See Scarlett, why you have to wear the other one? It is much safer—we don’t want to ruin your throat.” I’m trying to understand that one.
Poppy was late getting home from work and he was POOPED! Mamaw and I went to get his car filled with gas cause he has to go to Lincoln, Nebraska and bring his sister, Betty back to the hospital in Des Moines, IA. It’s gonna be a long day for him. And Mamaw is so sweet—she tries to help him out all she can. So let’s hit the rack so Poppy can get some sleep—he has to be up early in the morning.
