It is so cold here—I couldn’t do all of my duty at the same time—I peed and came back to the house. We played a little, I did some tricks and Mamaw took me back out to finish my job.
She’s getting all “duded up” again—you know, the “walking target”? She’s goin someplace again—and in this cold! Oh Lord—does she have to? Well, I think she’s going on a job interview, we’ll just have to wait and see. Oh she came home in less than an hour and she was happy. She feels really good about this job.
Okay we’re moving on—Deb and Hayleigh came in the door. Mamaw said, “Come on, I’m taking you to lunch” and off they went. She was so excited she took them to lunch! (grin) Then come to find out, Poppy joined them for lunch too—at The Brickhouse. Mamaw took Deb to her hair appointment (she’s getting a perm) and brought Hayleigh back with her. Poppy is going to HyVee to get some groceries for us. They’re all back home and I’m out of the kennel. You know, I never quite know what to expect anymore—she changes the routines on me all of the time now.
We went on a wonderful long walk. She made me keep moving right along though cause the walk was LONG and she was cold. That’s okay, I can take it better than she can. Hayleigh studied, Mamaw read, they talked, Poppy watched TV in the bedroom and the phone finally rang hours later that Deb was done. Well, back in the kennel and out the door she and Hayleigh go to pick Deb up and right back here to the house. What a day! They make me tired just trying to keep up with them.
I tried to go with Deb and Hayleigh when they left. Mamaw left just a little opening at the garage door and that’s the way they left the house. Well, I managed to get through there just as the garage door was coming down and ran right to Deb. Mamaw was fit to be tied! Deb had managed to grab my collar so Mamaw picked me up and hugged me tight. Okay, so I DID get to give Deb and Hayleigh a kiss before they left. Now—I feel better. I hope they come back soon.
