Mamaw started laundry before she would even take me outside today. Poppy says she is going to wear our stuff out by washing them too much. I don’t know which one is more funny! But when she gets something in her head that she wants to accomplish, come HELL or high water, she will get it done! So the Exile Room is off limits—the sheets and mattress liner are in the washing machine. She will insist I stay out while she makes the bed too. I’ve been told that I can have access to the room as long as I don’t become naughty. (The other day, she left the door open and I helped myself to the bed. I managed to unmake the bed so I guess that is a big no-no).
It was slick in spots where we walked today. It is like there was a light layer of ice and I kept nearly crashing from time to time. Mamaw told me to slow down and enjoy this walk. Well, it was tough—I’m supposed to use my nose to insure that we are safe and all is well in our world. On the second walk I got to find out where that aggressive little black and white male lives. We thought it was a different town home so were we surprised! Anyway, he barks and barks and tries to attack me. Mamaw is calm and just continues to keep us walking while she reminds me “no bark.” She is an excellent teacher.
The Super Bowl is on tonight! I’ve been warned to be good…The Colts (they are cheering for them) and the Saints (who have never been to a bowl game) are playing. They will absolutely be glued to the TV so no need asking to go out to play in the snow or take up their time needlessly. They’ve got a right. Oh, oh—game over. They aren’t very happy—the Colts lost 22-17.
