Lord is it cold out there today! It’s only supposed to get up to 19 degrees. I can’t help but convince Mamaw I need a little extra time out there to dig through the snow. She stands there freezing and I’m nosing around in the snow. How’s that for love?
But when we were out, the man who scoops the driveway and walks (I know, Mamaw insists on getting some of that done so I don’t have to be tummy high in snow) had a black mask on. We could only see his eyes and the tip of his nose. He scared me; yet I wanted to see who it was. Mamaw gently steered me over to him telling me all the while that it was okay. I guess she gave me the confidence to finally to sniff his hand. When he saw my nail wagging, he knew it was okay to pet me. And gloves—I don’t like them either. I just don’t understand what they are for and it gives me a whole new perspective on the hands.
We took two walks again today. I need the exercise to calm me down and Mamaw says she needs it to lose some weight before she goes on the cruise. I don’t even want to think about that now. How will I get along without her? She’s my bestest buddy.
