Mamaw got up and told Poppy she didn’t sleep very well. All of this ice has knocked out the cable in the bedroom so she couldn’t have it on. She likes it running cause then she doesn’t hear all of the other noises and she rests better. I hope she isn’t going to be grumpy.
It was a lot better outside today. Some of the ice is breaking up and Poppy said it is supposed to get to 35 degrees today so that should help. After my first trip out, she handed my leash to Poppy and put his gloves on. Then she grabbed the shovel and was going to try to get the ice off the sidewalk so we could use the front door in and out. Poppy took me inside and I ran to the window where I could watch her. She did a pretty darned good job at cleaning it off.
Poppy has to go to Toyota today. His passenger side mirror won’t automatically position itself so he ordered a new one. Mamaw took me out to potty (I knew his car was running and I wanted to be in the car when he left), and I ran to the back and into the garage. I made my appeal but it didn’t work this time. Mamaw and I are to stay home.
She has been feeding me “by hand” while I am on this medication. This morning when she offered it, I turned my nose up at it. If I don’t take the pills I think I will feel better. And there is talk of taking me to the vet today to get the stitches out. I don’t know yet…
Yep, Poppy got home and she called the vet. I go to get my stitches out. The vet said I was a very good girl, in spite of the fact when we got in the car I was shaking. Well heck, it wasn’t bad at all. Then Poppy thought I deserved a little ride in the car—God I love that!
No walk—just too nasty outside. I can’t get any footing on the snow mountains so we decided it wasn’t worth one of us falling down. We’re just gonna veg out and relax the rest of the day.
