It’s too darned cold to want to spend any time outside sticking my nose up and down in the snow drift—I can tell you that! It out and in; as fast as we can go.

I can sure tell Bark Busters has been here cause Mamaw is using more tactics with me now. She STANDS UP when she corrects me or gives me a command. Well, I know I better listen when she does that! She is all business. I went fussing to her a little while ago and asked to be loved. I may be feeling a little insecure right now.
Mamaw got all “prettied up,” shoved me in the kennel and off she went! She was telling Poppy that she and Sue were getting together this afternoon to decide which cruise they were going to book. It must have been a BIG job, cause she was gone a long time.

She came back just before Poppy got home from work. I had just come in from outside duty. They put me in the kennel while they ate (SHE says that’s where I belong) when they are eating. I jump up and try to get some food—she’s disgusted with me. After dinner I just keep jumping up to the side table and Mamaw REALLY got disgusted! I can’t believe she is going to clamp down that hard on me…

The Orange Bowl is on TV—it is LOUD! They’re having discussions about whether Iowa can beat Georgia Tech. They are so engrossed in the game that I have to entertain myself for God’s sake. Gone all day and then I have to play by myself. Well, we’ll see about that! I started attacking anything I could find believe me. I thought I was doing a pretty good job of it too and then she turned the table on me and in the Kennel I go FOR THE NIGHT! Oh well, there will be another day.
