You know I think my family wants to keep me up in the air about what’s goin on. Today it was really early when Mamaw took me outside to go potty. And then when we came in, she wiped my feet and instead of unlocking the leash, she took me to the bedroom. I’m thinking, “Mamaw-what the hell”? Well, she wanted me to say hello to Poppy cause they are leaving for Camp Dodge. I did get to roll around on that warm waterbed for a little bit and I love that to pieces. Okay—Scarlett, go to your kennel. Bye…
After Mamaw got back she went through that funny door and down into that hole again. Oh, she’s washing sheets today. Well, I guess that’s okay—as long as she stays home.

A ride—you say a ride? You bet I’m up for it! Where we goin? What we gonna do? I don’t care, just get me in the car! We drove to this place called Kum and Go. She got out of the car and pulled a hose like thing from this machine. It had a metal end on it with a big hole in it. She put that where she pumps gas I guess. We got gas! Okay she says, now we’re going for a ride. I want you to experience driving through a car wash. We went to the car wash and drove in. These guys come along both sides of the car and I think they are kind of hosing off the car. I don’t bark and Mamaw says that’s good. She’s been working on that with me lately. Then the car starts to move all by itself. Big red twirling things came down both sides of the car and I begin to tremble. Mamaw holds me tight and says, “It’s okay Scarlett—it’s okay.” I finally put my head on her shoulder and decided to trust her. But trust came hard when these big long red strips began to hit Mamaw’s car and they are moving up the windshield to the top of the car and they make a real slapping noise. Oh my God—I’m worried now! Mamaw says, “Relax Scarlett, there is nothing to be worried about—I’m here.” Well that finally stopped and these two guys came at us with towels. Oh, they are towel drying the car. I didn’t bark! That’s good—I’m learning. We got home and trust me—I’m going to take a nap. I don’t know how Mamaw does all she does and keeps going while I gotta have a nap. Oh well…that’s life.
