Today is going to be new and exciting. Mamaw took me out to potty as usual and gave me my food. Since I have two different pills I have to take each day, she “hand feeds” me until I’ve got those down. Then she disappeared into THE EXILE room and I heard the shower running. Poppy is busy his e-mail and drinking his coffee. When she comes out of the bedroom, she has really nice clothes on so I know somebody is going somewhere. Will I get to go? Then she got her towel and went to the kitchen to wash her hair. In the bathroom she is busy, busy, busy. It takes quite a lot to make her look like a “walking target.” Out she comes—oh my, does she SMELL good!

Into the kitchen we go to get some of my stuff packed in a bag. By golly, I think maybe I get to go too. As she gets things ready, Poppy loads and starts the car—his car. Well, I know he is going somewhere cause she never drives his Lexus. Suddenly she puts my leash on and takes me out to go potty and I run so fast back to the garage I almost made her lose her footing!

We’re ready to go. She dries my feet and carries me to the car. Off we go—I am so excited! I hear Poppy say that it will be nice to see Mike and Amy and tour their nursing home. As we ride along I just enjoy the surroundings. And sometimes I put my head on Mamaw’s shoulder—she is so loving. About 20 miles out, it started to snow. Poppy said he wasn’t worried about getting there but thought it might be difficult getting back home after dark. They decided it would be better to pick a better day and we came home.

By then I was tired and needed a nap. Mamaw got on the phone to her friend, Lin, and asked her to help with her Blog. They worked for an hour and a half! But when Mamaw came out of the office door, she was delighted! She is going to finish up her work on that and then begin blogging. My story will be told.
