Well, we are back to normal—thank God! Poppy got ready and was ready for work when Mamaw suggested to him that we talk with Toyota about an add-on automatic car starter. He gets so cold and really doesn’t do well. While the car is in the garage, he goes out and warms it up, but when he is ready to leave work he has to walk quite a long distance because he doesn’t want anybody to “nick” his pride and joy. In fact, Mamaw rarely ask him to take me out to do my “duty” cause she knows that. We’ll see what happens with that suggestion.
We’ve swept the kitchen to get all the ice melt off. I say we, cause I help her with the dust mop. Then she takes this little broom and dust pan and picks it up for the trash. There were lots and lots of ice melt today—I suppose they will blame me for that!
Then I knew she was going to vacuum cause she started dragging out the pieces and putting them together one by one. I thought I could be brave enough to just sit on the floor while she did that but when she started, I chickened out. I got on the couch and stayed there until she was way into the hallway and then I got brave enough to jump off the couch and sit far away.
She’s been down into the “hole” again too. I wish she would let me go down there. I want to see what it is they are hiding from me. I asked Mamaw and she said, “Maybe in the Spring Scarlett, when I can put chairs on the lower patio. You can play outside and I’ll read, how’s that? I can’t wait—come on Spring!
Mamaw got all cleaned up and is a walking target again. Except she didn’t stay home. Off she goes to do her thing. Froggy and I will just lay in the kennel and wait for her to get back. And when she does, I am trying desperately to get her earring but she’s gotten too smart for me. I gotta find another way to trick her so I can get em. They look delicious!
Poppy got home, she let me out to potty and away they went. I just knew they were going out to spend some time with family cause Mamaw was really happy today. They came home kind of late and she let me outside again. Then when we came back in and she was done wiping my feet, we played for a long time. Finally she got tired enough she told Poppy she was going to bed.
