Mamaw had to do a little "touch-up" on that big window this morning. She told Poppy she's gonna wait until early Friday morning to clean it cause the paint is still "sticky." He thought that was a good idea.
She picked up the towels from my "accidents" yesterday and ran that darned Rainbow all over the floor. It sure looks better though so she decided the work was well worth it. I just stayed out of her way!
She invited me to "go off leash" on a walk today. Oh, how good it felt to have no restrictions! I could smell, and smell and not be at her beck and call. I purposely let her get ahead of me a number of times and I just held back to see if she would look back for me--she did. And then I'd run so fast my ears blew straight back in the air and it was WONDERFUL...I felt like a puppy again.
She's gettin real good at putting Oh the Places You'll See on her new pages she's learned to create. Check them out and you can get an education. Well, not a degree or anything but you can get real smart!!!
I got a ride today too. Mamaw is real kind now that it's cold--she heats her car up for me. Now, we don't have to do that in the Lexus cause that car has "butt warmers built in." Mamaw says she gets second bests around here (smile). I like it when she puts her hand down on my seat so I can lay my chin on her hand. It's so comforting. We got gas and got our free paper.
Poppy came home from work "dog tired." so Mamaw got around and fixed a couple of burgers for dinner. She had fresh grapefruit for a side dish and that made him very happy. I did manage to get a couple of Corn Chips but only cause I sat between em and they couldn't resist me!
Mamaw has worked so hard on the Christmas letter today. She has e-mailed them to all she could. (They've decided to go GREEN as much as possible this year) and got labels and envelopes around for all she plans to mail. Poppy will e-mail his own so he can leave little notes...
Well folks, I'm "dog tired" too--she's kept me up till 10:00 p.m. and I'm usually sleepin by now. So I'm hangin it up and saying goodnight Irene.
