Mamaw’s a little lazy today—I think she’s catchin a cold! She doesn’t “bundle up” good enough to go out with me and she really got cold the other day when she took Ozzie and Me outside. Ozzie likes to go way down to the trail (even when the wind is blowin up his you know what) to do his job and I kinda like to stay closer to home. I make myself go though—if he’s out.

I hear complainin that there’s nothing on TV and she isn’t at all interested in the computer or reading today. Yep—she’s got a fever and just wants to stay under the porch. I’m not gonna go out with her anymore if she doesn’t do a better job of keeping herself warm!

I didn’t mind that we didn’t do a darned thing today—well, we did though; she couldn’t stand it. She took all the place settings off the table and washed them. You know, she had made the table quite a while back cause she wanted to invite Becky and Cully over for spaghetti dinner, garlic toast and wine but he never felt well enough to do that so she just left them there in his honor I guess. Well, the kids are coming on Saturday for Christmas so she needed to get that taken care of. Then she couldn’t stand it—the wine glasses looked dusty so she did those too. And one thing led to another and before I knew what she was doin, she had the Rainbow vacuum cleaner downstairs running it—then she took it apart and brought it upstairs and was runnin it when Poppy walked in the door from work!

And he knew she was “under the porch” so he got his special cooker out and cooked another turkey breast. They just love that stuff—I bet I would too if I ever got a bite of it! But—you know the rules folks; NO PEOPLE FOOD FOR YOUR ANIMALS! God made us a little bit different from you so you need to take care of our digestive needs. He fixed tators and apple sauce with that and all was well with the world…

Then Mamaw baked some chocolate chip cookies for Poppy so he could have them hot out of the oven…yum, yum, yum—but not for me!
