I stood at the door with Poppy and BEGGED HIM NOT TO GO TO WORK TODAY! You know what he said to me about that? He said, “Poppy has to go to work so we can buy your food, and so you can see Miss Jessica when you are sick, and for all those new toys Mamaw seems to drag home.” I couldn’t argue with that…see you tonight after work Poppy…hurry home so I can kiss, kiss and kiss you!!!

Mamaw has that new NOOK e-reader and I can’t get her to pay any attention to me! Question for ya: What do ya call an AVID READER? A Book HOUND.   I wanted a little bit of humor for ya today…

There is lots of comings and goings around here too! Trip after trip to the post office and Mamaw says ya gotta stand in line a long time. And she’s spending lots of time at the Barnes and Noble Book Store—she loves that place! She says she’s been Christmas shoppin there.

And today she met a friend at Jason’s Deli for lunch. Cindy is a really “special gal” to Mamaw and she always buys her a little gift. I guess they had a wonderful time ‘catchin up’ cause they don’t see each other very often. When she came home she was loaded down with more packages…I wonder who all she’s buyin for anyway? When I asked her that, she said, “Miss Scarlett, it is better to give than to receive.” I think she means that literally…

Mamaw fixed a super, duper dinner tonight. She used some of the left-over turkey breast and made hot turkey sandwiches for Poppy. He sure did like that and didn’t offer me a morsel—not a morsel.

And he’s workin on more cards…more Christmas letters. I hope they don’t forget to send my letter off to Santa telling him what I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS! They’re so worried about everybody else I think they’re gonna forget me…

So back on the waterbed, I cuddled Mamaw so tight cause I want “the love” to be so strong she’ll get busy on my Christmas stuff. I haven’t seen 1 SINGLE THING FOR ME COME INTO THE HOUSE… Is that selfish of me? I’m a kid too! Everybody else gets to make a list to give to Santa…why not me?
