Oh boy—it’s kinda hard to figure out what Poppy and Mamaw are up to this morning…Poppy is lookin for clothes that are yellow and black and she’s sayin, “I’ll get the errands done first and then I’ll shower and change too! Off to work Poppy goes wearin yellow and black—looked mighty impressive too.
I asked Mamaw what THAT was all about and she said the Insight Bowl was on tonight at 9:00 p.m. The Iowa Hawkeye’s (big 10) is playin against the University of Missouri (big 12) for the PRIZE! And even though Poppy has a BIG, BIG day, they’ve been invited to go over to Becky’s and join the crowd to watch the game.

And today is the day Ozzie has to have surgery on his mouth. Mamaw says I can’t see him today cause he’s gonna be “fragile” with the stitches they gonna put there to close the gap. Hope the “thing” they cut out of him isn’t more cancer…we gotta pray about that!

Mamaw is off to do the errands—had to take her e-reader to Barnes and Noble cause she doesn’t have wi-fi on the thing and she really needs that to download her books. Well, they helped her out—FINALLY but Poppy says she should take it back and exchange it for one that does have it or she’s gonna be fightin it all the way. If she wants a book, she’s gotta get in the car and go down there to use their wi-fi—it just isn’t a good idea…

Home again and I’m so glad. She has shut the house up today and it’s so dark. I know what she’s up to but she thinks she’s foolin me. Becky called when she was going to the vet to pick Ozzie up so now I’m not able to spend time with him. It’s a REAL BUMMER!!!! Did ya hear me…IT’S A REAL BUMMER….

I was herded into my kennel like a pair of dirty socks and off they went to Becky’s. I asked, “Well, can’t I go too”? Mamaw said, “Not this time—with those stitches in Ozzie’s mouth we gotta protect him from getting too active.” So I’m home alone.

They came home LATE—The University of Iowa won! 27 to 24—how nice is that? And they said they had a wonderful time at Becky’s house with the rest of the folks. Becky seemed to relax for once and enjoy entertaining. And all in all; they had a wonderful conversation about Cully too. Cully—he was a HUGE IOWA FAN…

I’m out of the kennel; been out to pee; and now I’m in bed with Mamaw. I think she felt guilty leavin me…
