I had quite a challenge this morning trying to “do my duty.” Mamaw decided to take me downstairs and out the double doors and believe me—I wasn’t interested! She brought me upstairs and out the front door—I wasn’t interested! I’m askin myself what I’m gonna do today to relieve myself. We got 3-5 inches of new snow so when I go out my paws sink in…my tummy gets wet…the wind is blowin my “personal belongings” around and I just can’t handle that first thing in the morning!

Now Mamaw—she’s a good egg! Out she went in her pj’s with the snow shovel and scooped the front deck and the bottom deck. I still couldn’t handle it. She got all bundled up again and out she went with the scoop again and scooped a private area just for me. When she came in she asked Poppy if he remembered her doing that when I was tiny. He did—cause she cut the grass low for me on my first day home with them and then when it snowed 27 ½ inches last winter, she would scoop areas “with my name on it.”

Poppy has to work and Mamaw is worryin again…I’m trying to keep her occupied by dictatin this blog entry but I don’t think its workin too well. So I said, “Hey Mamaw—if we are done in the bedroom now, why don’t we strip the bed and wash the sheets”? So I’ve helped her up and down, up and down the stairs. I’m shut out of the bedroom when it’s time to make the bed though. (smile)

Mamaw insists on driving me crazy today with all the laundry she wants to get done. When she tells Poppy to make sure he has all of his dirty clothes in the baskets, somehow the laundry is doubled!!! We wonder how he does that…5 loads of clothes today! We got tired just going down and up the stairs. Finally though—we were done.

We’re not stepping foot out of this house today. It is so cold…I’ll go just long enough to get my business taken care of but nothing more. Mamaw wants to go out and make Snow Angels but I nixed that in the bud. And she asks every few hours if I need to go out—hasn’t she figured it out yet that I only need out about 3-times a day? She told Poppy she has to quit doing that…Lord I hope so.

Poppy is home—I got my belly rubs. Mamaw has gotten herself too involved to do much of that. So I am just turning myself wrong-side out when I hear the garage door cause I know it’s my time.

They had a lovely dinner—I got none. How is it the BIG WHIGS call it? “Another day—another dollar.” This sort of applies to I GOT NONE.

Goodnight Ozzie—goodnight Becky—goodnight Poppy—goodnight Mamaw…
