Poppy is home today—maybe we can just spend the day together! Mamaw got me taken care of and fixed herself a cup of hot tea and sat to enjoy it. Then Poppy asked what her plans were for the day and she said she was goin to take her sister, Mary to lunch in Carroll—at the Winery! That mean’s “she’s leavin us” in any language!

She shut us both out of the bedroom while she got ready and when she came out—she was dressed “to the 9’s.” Poppy said, “Well, you look nice.” If I were him, I would have said, “Listen Lady, you aren’t going out of the house looking that GOOD,” and that would have been the end of that story! Better be nice though—she’s home a lot and takes really good care of me so I can’t complain.

Off she goes…and she didn’t get back home until 6:00 p.m. Now what do you suppose those two old ladies were doing all of that time? Her sister just had knee replacement surgery a few weeks ago. I’m not sure that my “smeller” doesn’t smell something but Poppy seemed okay with it so I keep my mouth shut.

And I’m so glad to have her home. I missed her…she asked Poppy about me and he said he ended up taking me for two rides and both times we came home, I was searchin every room in the house for ya. And Poppy didn’t share with Mamaw what we did so I can’t either…guess it’s a secret.

She was pooped and didn’t allow me to come to her bed so that’s that. See ya all in the morning. Oh yeah, Mediacom is comin to fix our Internet!
