Poppy’s home! I notice Mamaw doesn’t get involved in as much working around the house when he wants to rest. She’s spent time on her laptop writin that novel. She types, types, types and then sits back in the rocking chair to THINK. Poppy has always called her “The Thinker.” I rest with him to make sure he gets enough rest.

The window man came to take a look at ones we need to replace and those to repair. He’s gonna get an estimate around but when he said the two big ones in the living room have to be replaced, I could see Mamaw trying to count up the $$$$$$. The man is really nice and is working with them about trying to use some of the material from those to be replaced to use with the repair windows. Now—SHE LIKES THAT! She’s frugal you know. But she has her priorities too. Just depends what category it falls under. (smile)  Well, they talked about the windows and decided it’s just a wait and see—do what we can—don’t panic.

The wind is ferocious again today. And it is making all the leaves funnel onto the front walk by the front deck so she’s been out twice picking them up. What—she thinks I can’t walk OVER them to get to the grass?

I’ve been told we’re takin a road trip tomorrow so I better get my rest today! I just lay flat on the floor with my head on the floor between my legs and let my eyes go back and forth keeping track of her. She’s a little tricky—here one minute—gone the next.

For dinner they had what Mamaw calls “clean out the refrigerator.” I think that means they each eat something different but I’m not sure. It didn’t look the same—it didn’t smell the same. You know people—I am still learning.

We’re gonna hit the hay—up early in the morning. I wonder what CD we’ll be listenin to?
