I was invited to go for a car ride—and I was ready. I checked “my bag” and everything to make sure she had put all I would need in it. We slipped over to Urbandale and took pictures of the new bronze sculpture there, and emailed Urbandale, Clive and the Pappajohn Sculpture people that they should put together a brochure of all three sites. She said they should be available online and on-sight for people. Ya know, people really do come to Iowa!
Then over to the Branstad office to check in and make sure they’re still workin as hard to get him elected! We got a couple of pictures there too! By then I was exhausted and we came home. I just passed out and slept and slept. These 'photo opps' of Mamaw’s would wear anybody out! Why, Poppy had to take a long nap too—I just cuddled up close to that guy and said, “Good afternoon.” Mamaw kept makin plans to do more and more and more and well frankly—I just can’t keep up with her.
My family and I endorsed the re-election of Terry Branstad very early on. It just made sense to check in to make sure everything is "on target." Keep an eye on the facebook Branstad profile--you might see me there.

And later in the day they really handed me a “bomb-shell” and so tomorrow—well, I’m telling Mamaw I’m restin—she can go “do her own thing” and then I’ll get around and tell ya all the SURPRISE!
