We are all just exhausted from our trip yesterday…hope nobody calls, rings the bell, or wants ANYTHING…we need quiet time.

Mamaw did have to work very hard to get caught up on the blogs though. I hung right in there with her and tried to dictate as fast as I could so we could get done. It felt good when that was done.

Cully didn’t feel very good yesterday so Mamaw walked Ozzie again today. Ozzie had his surgery and now he is sore so she wouldn’t bring him in to see me cause I get so darned excited when I see “my man.” He didn’t want to go on his usual walk either so she was nice and just let HIM decide where to go and when he had had enough. She said we need to give him a couple days to recover a little bit.

Oh the red velvety roses are still lookin so good. Ya know—Mamaw really does know how to keep em lookin nice longer. By now some folks would be throwin em out. She adores them you know…the way to her heart is not through her stomach, with diamonds, eating out, or social outings—it is red velvety roses.

Poppy got around and took Miss Betty to Wolfe Clinic today to see about her eyes. They are really excited about the natural progress she has made. The doctor said her sight has improved by 40% and they are going to wait another 3 months before doing anything else. He did fix her glasses so she isn’t seeing double any more.

The phone rang in the middle of the afternoon and we were told that Mom fell at the nursing home. We are so glad we went to see her yesterday! The phones have been wild since then—tryin to figure out what’s best for her.

Mamaw wanted a haircut—but got none. Now she know how it feels to want something and it just doesn’t happen. I wonder if she’ll be better about givin me just “a taste” of table food?
We spent the evening worried about Poppy’s Mom—wondering if the phone would be ringin again anytime soon. It was kind of stressful so we all just went to bed. If the phone rings—we’ll get it. Good day—bad day.
