Poppy is goin to work! Wish he could stay home with me...Mamaw is goin to get some work done around here--most of it outside and I don't want to go out with her! She's gotta get the Thanksgiving pumpkins put away and make sure the eve spouts are free of leaves. I think she's a workaholic but I'm not sure--I'm gonna keep a good eye on her though!
Before Poppy left for work they talked about Cullen's Visitation this afternoon. Mamaw says she'll go a little earlier and he can stop by after he's done lookin at all those "eyes."
So we just sort of played around at gettin work done. The sheets got their weekly "bath" and the vacuum ran. She did finally sit down and look at the Sunday paper and saw Cully's obituary. She's gettin dressed up right now to go to the visitation and knows that Becky is next door but she doesn't want to intrude so she's stayin put.
I decided to be good and go to the kennel on my own today. Mamaw is sad enough--I told ya didn't I that she has had 3 deaths in November? It's been pretty hard on her too! She's gonna leave and go...I'm kinda sad cause I know she is too. I'll just wait till she gets home and see how things went.
She and Poppy both drove in at the same time--I was glad to see em. They were talking about the visitation and how nice it was. And Becky was doin real good too. Ozzie wasn't there--he's with Jean. I sure hope I get to see him soon...
Dinner was simple--and kind of quiet too. Death has a way of makin us reflect on our own lives. I'm just gonna be real sweet to both of em and let em know how much I love and need them...and they're gonna be alright. They just gotta get past the funeral in Mount Ayr tomorrow and then the healing will come.
I'm gonna be faithful and "hang in there" and go to the waterbed with Mamaw. That'll make her feel better! Earlier on the couch, I laid my head back and gave em both a 'special kiss' just from me.
