Dorothy was so right!—There is no place like home! Mamaw read the story to me and I can tell ya, she is so right about it all. (Dorothy Gale is swept away to a magical land in a tornado and embarks on a quest to see the Wizard who can help her return home).

The trip was just wonderful…did ya hear me? JUST WONDERFUL and Mamaw would say TOO SHORT TOO! But ya know, it takes a toll on ya. Mamaw had hoped to stay in bed for the day “nursin” her cold but instead had to be up and around cause “the window man” came. Poppy fixed a ham and grilled cheese sandwich for them before THE MAN came and she got her cup of hot tea too!

Poppy and me—we were smart though. We shut ourselves up in the office and let Mamaw take care of it! So she got all three loads of the laundry done so I guess we’re sorta back to normal. As soon as the man was done, I was back in my kennel and pretty much spent the day there.

In the meantime, they discovered we didn’t have any landline phone so Poppy called Mediacom and got that straightened out for us. Yeah Poppy!

Other than that the house was quiet—well after THE MAN left. While he was here he was pretty noisy and it was chilly cause he had to take a big, double window out of the livingroom. Glad that much is done—now we wait for our new window to get here and hope the weather is good enough to get it installed before “the you know what starts.”

Miss Betty is movin back to Denison on Friday. Mamaw is sad to knows this is what she wants to do. She has invited Miss Betty to lunch before she gets gone so they can “catch up with each other.”
