But this morning when we got up, Mamaw had gone to her waterbed and sometime in the night Ozzie came in and flopped down beside Poppy. That means he's been here all night. And so who gets to go outside first this morning? Well—it wasn’t me! I had to HOLD MYSELF until she got done talking to him and walkin him down to the corner and around the bend on the trail so he could poop—not once—but twice! And then Finally—my turn…just in the nick of time too!

Ozzie is feelin really bad and we can’t help him with it. He wants to sleep against any wall he can get next to and really doesn’t want to be bothered. Sometimes he’ll come to Mamaw and put his head on her knee and she rubs his head and tells him he’s a good boy. We’re sad for him. But Mamaw said, “Now Scarlett—it won’t do us any good to bother him and that’s just what we would be doin.”

So I watched her get his medicine around for him and then we did the “treat” thing. He did some tricks too and got treated just like me. I like that about Mamaw—she is fair. I ate some of his food and he ate some of mine so we’ve even.

She got hold of the Lester’s girlfriend who seems to know what is goin on with Ronnie and got the funeral arrangements from her. Then she posted them on Facebook so other’s could send their condolences.

Other than that, she didn’t get much done! First it’s me to go outside—and then its Ozzie to go outside—and then its fill Ozzie’s food dish—and then its fill my food dish—and then its fill Ozzie’s water dish—and then its fill my water dish. Well, you get the picture don’t ya? How can she get anything done?
Jean and her family came to get Ozzie about 6:30 p.m. and Mamaw was so exhausted she fixed pizza for dinner and then promptly put up the gate and made me stay with Poppy. I guess that means “she’s gonna crash.” She did…
