September 29, 2010 (Deb's BD - 29 AGAIN)

Mamaw got up this morning singing…happy birthday to Deb! I think she’s 29 again but I’ve learned not to ask a woman her age. And with that let’s just move on.

We worked hard this morning—I helped pull the sheets off the bed so we could wash em. I can’t do the pillowcases though. And I go straight to the basement with her to make sure EVERYTHING gets in the washer. Then we wait for the buzzer to tell us they are ready to put in the dryer. I’m the watch dog after all, so when I hear it I rush in to Mamaw to let her know I’m on duty! I nearly turn myself wrong-side out but she gets the message. And then it’s dryer time…same procedure…same affect. But then she shuts me out of the bedroom to make the bed. I do HATE THAT…but I sure like the way it looks when it’s all made nice and the pillows are on there and everything. My favorite pillow is “ALWAYS kiss me goodnight” and I make sure I do too.

The sanding started in again today—I was sure glad when she ran out of the grain sandpaper she needed cause she was beginning to give me an Excedrin headache! We went to get gas and a newspaper so she was content to come home and read the paper. She tries really hard to keep up with what’s goin on in the world today.

The phone rang—it was Cully—Can ya take Ozzie for a walk? She nearly catapulted into the air in her rush to get to him! I have to stay behind—she doesn’t think she could handle both of us. And she wasn’t very nice today—she didn’t let him in to see me. She said it’s cause his hip is botherin him and she wanted him to be able to get his job all finished before she took him home. I’m gonna hold her to that tomorrow…

Poppy is workin—his cold is better—but certainly not gone yet. Pizza for dinner completed our day with some TV, hugs and kisses and waterbed frolicking…night all.
