Lord, another month almost gone. I’m grateful for the pretty weather at least in the afternoons though. Mamaw is draggin me in and out and all around. But first—she goes and does her thing. She was gone for hours (wish I could spy on her and see what she’s up to). Sure hope she’s stayin out of trouble with Poppy!

The word for the day is: I’m gonna give priority to sandin on my project. Well, she sure did! The first time out she made me go out on the cable while she worked. It was kinda nice though—Tim McGraw was blastin away with her favorite songs so she did “hand sanding” so she could hear him. (I really think she’s got an awful crush on him but I don’t want to tell Poppy cause I just don’t know what he’d think about that)—so I keep my mouth shut. She sanded till her thumb was killin her. Could she sit and rest a minute?

NO—she decided we’d go on a walk on the trail and do some “off leash” work. I love it when we do that. I keep a good eye out for her though so she doesn’t get too far ahead of me. I wish she’d slow down a little cause my “smeller” isn’t movin as fast as she is but she won’t—needs the exercise she says… We went lots further this time without the leash and when she wanted to “hook me up” I was a little naughty. She offered a Snaps but I wouldn’t let her get close enough to catch me. Cause ya see—I LOVE THE FREEDOM—but she’s afraid. We’re sure workin on that though—and I should negotiate with her cause when it comes to crossin the street, I should be leashed so a car doesn’t get me. Oh well—another day.

As soon as we’re back Mamaw puts me in the car and off we go to see Leann at PetSmart. Mamaw says my ears stink just like some people with stinky feet. She’s been treatin me for infection and cleanin my ears out but there is nothing there. We’ll ask Leann—and when we saw her she suggested shaving some of the hair from the INSIDE of the ear to allow more air to flow. Got that done and it feels great! And now I want to have my lunch the way Mamaw has hers on grocery shopping days. HyVee puts out all of those samples and she tastes each one—that’s her lunch. I walk up and down the aisles where the dog food is and I taste each piece I find on the floor—that’s MY LUNCH! Great time…

She didn’t get enough of Tim McGraw so out she goes to sand some more. She’s anxious to get that project finished. This time she left the garage door to the kitchen open so I could see. I stayed in the house this time though. I frankly think I’ve had enough for one day.

But when Poppy walked in the door—I went crazy. Gosh it was so good to see him and smell him. When he finally sat down I kissed and kissed him so he’d know just how much I loved and missed him. Mamaw said I wore him out with my loves so she’ll let him rest a while.

Mamaw has a new favorite TV show—Hawaii Five-0 so I went back on the waterbed with her.
 Category: American television series

 First episode: September 20, 1968
 Final episode: April 4, 1980

She was so involved in the dumb program she didn’t pay any attention to me so I got naughty. She made me go out with Poppy and she put the gate up. BUSTED…Oh well, I just cuddled with Poppy till bedtime.
