I’m goin to ask Poppy to get a photo of Mamaw pickin up those stupid apples. She just puts her whole heart into it and about the time she thinks she’s done—another apple drops. She makes me go out on the front deck to get some fresh air and I don’t like it! I don’t like all those loud noises and I’m afraid one of those apples will come down and hit me on the head. She makes me go anyway.

And then she works that right into our walk today. It was a nice walk and she let me smell around quite a bit today. My nose has really been on alert and I don’t really know why. I do know that I’ve been missin Ozzie. I’m not seein him out like I used to and I know their lives have changed A LOT will Cully bein sick and all. I asked Mamaw if we could go over and visit and she thought that wasn’t a good idea unless we were INVITED. I keep watchin and watchin for him though. First time I see him I’m gonna raise so much hell she’ll have to get me outside to see him!

When we got back to the house, I thought we were goin IN—forget that! She hooked me up to my ‘outside cable’ and she started pulling weeds. She’s definitely got something on her mind cause like Poppy says, “Pullin weeds is therapeutic to her.’ We spent over 3-hours outside today. But then—the ultimate gift! She took me for a car ride cause she loaded up all of those awful apples and we went to the dump with em. She had the windows open and that top thing open and away we went. It was really very nice. Thanks Mamaw…

About this time of the afternoon, Mamaw thought she should get cleaned up. The Swanson Family is goin out to eat tonight! On April 30th when they did this they got the call that Miss Betty had the stroke. This time—THEY’RE CELEBRATIN! I don’t mind the kennel though—sometimes I go in there just to rest—with the door standing wide open. I guess they had a great time and even brought leftovers home. Think I’ll get any of that? In a pig’s eye…

Okay world—it’s been a LONG DAY so let’s just say goodnight. Poppy is workin every day and he’s tired. Mamaw works at home all day (and takes good care of me) so we’ll all just hang it up. Morning will be here soon enough, thank you very much! And…I hear snoring.
