When Mamaw comes to get me up this morning I’m layin down and I only open one eye. I’m still disgusted with what happened yesterday and I’m not at all sure I’m gonna get up today. That’ll teach em… Okay—I’ll get up but please God, give me a break today?

Oh no! Mamaw is getting her good clothes on with jewelry and everything—I’m worried now. She tells Poppy she’s meetin her friend, Chris in Boone, IA at the bakery for lunch. Yeah, that jewelry business needs to get settled today so she’s gonna get that done. She leaves before Poppy cause she’s been so busy with unexpected stuff that she wants to run a couple of errands first. Why can’t she wait and do that when she gets back? Oh, I hear her telling Poppy that she’s drivin her car to Boone; then to Nevada to pick Deb up and get her to Johnston for her class. Sounds like a hell of a mess to me—how about you?

Oh boy, and to add more complications she’s drivin her car back home and makin a couple of very important phone calls and then back to Johnston to pick Deb up again and transport her to Ankeny for her schedule work shift. Is this a total disaster or what? Well, I’m glad she came back home cause Miss Hayleigh was with her. I love that girl! And it also gave Mamaw a little time to work on Emily’s portfolio. See, I told ya my Mamaw is a very busy, busy lady!

Back in the kennel and off they go with the car they bought for Deb. Mamaw says Poppy will be home from work long before she’ll get back cause she has to wait until Deb finishes her shift and then Deb will finally get to drive the car cause she’s got to bring Mamaw home. I’m worried about Mamaw—wayyyyy tooooo much activity and stress—well, on both Mamaw and Poppy but Mamaw has to do the runnin so I think that makes it more stressful.

Finally—Mamaw is home. “Oh Mamaw—I’m just so glad to see ya,” I told her. She said she was glad to be home and happy to see me too. Poppy says I’ve been at his heels from the time he got home. And ya know—he’s right. As tired as my Poppy is, he decided to do the laundry to help Mamaw out. He knows she’s tired…and worried. So up and down the basement stairs we went and by the time she got home, it was DONE. She was so happy—and gave Poppy a bunch of kisses and thank yous. She loves him…

Okay gang—let’s just try to settle down now—all of us and get some rest. Everybody go to your own corner and we’ll hope for a less hectic tomorrow. Night all…
