We took a short turn around the circle today—I wasn’t impressed. These loud sounds just make me so nervous! We’re tryin to stay out of the noisiest areas but I just can’t get a grip on things. And Mamaw wanted a much longer walk than I, so she brought me back and kenneled me. She left for a long time—and when she got back she was sweatin like crazy. She told me she walked 3 miles—tryin to keep that weight off. She hasn’t had much success in losing the other 5 lbs. and that’s bothering her. Guess we’re both bothered…
Lots of computer work today. Mamaw told me she’s getting serious about writin that novel now. I’m good a while—then I bug her to play—we play—and then back she goes to write some more.
She got all duded up—I think it was for the Melissa Ethridge concert tonight. Poppy walked in the door from work and told her she looked nice. When she asked him about his day, he said, “It’s been a hard day.” Well, Mamaw is no dummy—she figures out in no time that he’s really tired and doesn’t WANT TO GO TO THIS CONCERT. She grabs up the tickets and out the door she goes, trying to find someone who could use them. Again, gone a long time but arriving back in the house havin success is giving them away. Guess that settles that!
Poppy grilled steaks for dinner and Mamaw fixed her famous hash browns. I got a tablespoon of cottage cheese on my food and I’ll tell ya—it was yummy, yummy, yummy for the tummy!
Poppy is so happy to be home and see me again that I got mountains of love from him. He’s a good guy; you know? A little eccentric but we all got our faults…(smile). We’ll just happily call it a day. Night all…
