Mamaw got up this mornin and told Poppy “This is the first day of the rest of my life.” He seemed to understand what she was sayin—I didn’t. Other than every time I go for her Kleenex (that she leaves layin around for me to smell) and the toilet paper, she tells me she’s seriously workin on weight loss and I need to work on my New Years’ Resolutions. I get so tired of hearing that…

Both of em got “gussied up,” shoved my hinny in the kennel and off they went! I have no idea what they are up to but when they came home, they didn’t have any sacks with em. Mamaw said she had an appointment with the dermatologist, Dr. Love (how ironic is that?) Beyond that I’ve been told NOTHING…

They both did their own thing today but I can tell ya I got lots of belly rubs. Somethin about them is erotic and I love the dance…. Mamaw has read a lot today; she’s into her e-reader and reading “The Confession” by John Grisham. She told Poppy she’s so involved she almost can’t put it down.

We aren’t takin care of Ozzie today. Mamaw made arrangements with Miss Becky that she would ask Jessie to help out today. It has something to do with the dermatologist appointment and I’m really sad about that. I’m gonna miss ya today Mr. Oz!

I like it when Mamaw gets up in the morning and gets all dressed up (jewelry and all—the walking target, don’t ya know.) She gets her hair fixed real pretty and puts some make-up on and Poppy and I notice she smiles more on the days she does that. She’s decided she should do it every day as a reminder not to get into the new bag of jelly beans Poppy brought home last night. Oh yeah—he went to the store to pick up a couple of things and came home with jelly beans. Mamaw said, “Now Poppy—that’s a terrible thing for you to do to me!” He sure told her a thing or two—he said, “I didn’t buy em for you I bought em for me.” That shut her up!!!

It appears as though mealtime for them is goin to be disrupted too. Mamaw eats WHEN SHE IS HUNGRY so they don’t eat at the same time during this purging thing she goes on. In the end though, everybody got to eat—I got a few veggies and was grateful for that!

She went back to bed early—with that damned e-reader so I went along. Got in trouble right off the bat and was warned if it happened again “I was outta there.” I prayed to God he’s help me refrain from my bad behavior. It worked! Did ya hear me—PRAYER WORKS! I stayed till pretty late when Poppy came in and loving and tenderly took me to my bed. It doesn’t matter which one does it…it’s such a warm and fuzzy feeling. Night all…
