KCCI-TV says it’s gonna be a gorgeous day today. We like to walk but Mamaw has all of these errands that built up this week while she labored over her novel. She says we gotta get that stuff done first because now it was a priority—right! Like there’s nothing in the house to eat…who is she kidding? But okay—go and do…

I got tricked this morning with a belly rub from Poppy and she took that opportunity to put those antibiotic drops in my ears. Then she rubbed and rubbed em—I think they’re feelin better but I still don’t like that funny feelin. Glad it’s done for the day though—now we can move on to her “priorities.”

Poppy said his goodbyes as he headed out the door and reminded Mamaw they are goin out to celebrate Valentine’s Day with family after work. That got her up and around and on her way too! And when she came home she had bags and bags of paper products. When she put em away there was still some in the closet so I said, “Mamaw—you didn’t need to get these today.” She almost told me to mind my own business but instead said she wouldn’t want to run out. Then back to the car for a big box of yellow flowers that bloom real early in the spring—maybe they are daffodils? Anyway she made arrangements with HyVee that when they quit blooming she wanted em so she could plant them in “our common area” by our house. She drove a hard bargain and got em cheap she said. Back to the car and for God’s sake—more groceries.

Some different stuff though—wine coolers and Valentine’s Day cookies and stuff so I think they’re asked “the gang” back to our house to play pool. I sure hope John Swanson comes cause I just love that man—well, Mamaw does too! She thinks he always looks sooooo good in his shirts with his bulging muskles.

She just had to rush out one more time but this time she took her e-reader with her and got in the car—she’s gone. Came back happy as a lark cause she finally got the mess over the Barnes and Noble billing straightened out. She said she wasn’t about to let them bill her too many times for the same books!

When she got out of the car she chipped and shoveled snow, ice and water off the driveway. Then she swept the garage. She wanted “her family” to make it in and out of the house in one piece. Yeah, and now I know why! The four girls, Judy, Laurie, Vicki and Mamaw drank 2 bottles of wine! Oops—sorry—Miss Vicki corrected me—she doesn’t drink wine so the 3 of them had a wonderful time. Poppy took Alan Dale and My John down to play pool and I gotta tell ya when he went down there I just had to stand at the top of the stars and look at him! He’s about got as much of my heart as Ozzie does…

I saw the Valentine cookies come out and I sure wanted a taste but didn’t get any so I just went in and out of my kennel all evening—I didn’t know what else to do. They all had a terrific time…I’m goin to bed now.
